The Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Science (NES) of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) at Hsinchu offers a unique nuclear engineering and science program for MS and PhD degree in Taiwan. Currently, the Institute has 24 full-time faculty members, including 16 adjunct professors affiliated with the College of Nuclear Science. The Institute offers various teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels in such areas as: Nuclear Reactor Physics and Engineering, Thermal Hydraulics, Nuclear Reactor Safety, Nuclear Materials, Nuclear Instrument and Control, Radiation Shielding, Medical Physics, etc. The Institute also conducts active research in the following two areas: (1) Nuclear Power Plant Engineering, and (2) Radiation Applications and Nuclear Science. The Institute invites applications for a tenured or a tenure track faculty position in Nuclear Reactor Physics, Thermal Hydraulics and Nuclear Reactor Safety, Nuclear Materials, Nuclear Reactor Design, Nuclear Instrument and Control, Radiation Applications, Health Physics, and Medical Physics. Faculty positions at all levels are available. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering or a closely-related discipline and is expected to maintain high teaching and research standards.
