Research Areas
Our research focuses on advanced energy materials and electrochemical energy storage technologies. Current research topics include:
- Aqueous zinc-ion and zinc metal batteries
- Iron metal batteries
- Next-generation electrode materials and interfacial engineering
- Synthesis of energy storage materials, electrochemical characterization, and mechanistic studies
- Structural and surface characterization using SEM, TEM, XPS, Raman spectroscopy, AFM, and related techniques
Responsibilities
- Conduct research under projects funded by the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC), Taiwan.
- Design and perform experiments related to energy materials and electrochemical systems.
- Synthesize functional materials, assemble electrochemical cells, and evaluate electrochemical performance.
- Perform materials characterization, analyze experimental data, and organize research results.
- Assist in supervising graduate students and supporting laboratory research activities.
- Prepare manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals and assist in writing research proposals and project reports.
- Perform other research-related duties assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following qualifications:
- A Ph.D. degree from an accredited university.
- A doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Energy Engineering, Electrochemistry, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to independently design and conduct research projects and prepare scientific publications.
- Research experience in lithium-ion batteries, zinc-based batteries, metal batteries, electrochemical analysis, or energy materials is preferred.
- Experience with materials characterization techniques and electrochemical measurements is preferred.
- Experience in computational modeling or simulations (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics, VASP, finite element analysis, or related simulation software) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, teamwork, and enthusiasm for scientific research.
Appointment
The appointment will be supported by an NSTC-funded research project. The duration of employment will follow NSTC regulations and project availability, with the possibility of renewal based on research performance and funding.
Salary
Salary will be provided in accordance with the National Tsing Hua University Salary Scale for Postdoctoral Researchers under Project-Based Employment, starting from NT$60,000 per month (negotiable), in compliance with Taiwan's regulations on minimum monthly salary disclosure.
This position is subject to the approval of the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Talent Recruitment Program for Visiting Science and Technology Personnel. The final salary will be determined based on the applicant's academic qualifications, research achievements, publication record, and other relevant experience, and will be subject to the amount approved by the NSTC.
