Two Full-Time Faculty Positions at the Rank of Assistant Professor or Above

I. Position and Number of Openings

The Interdisciplinary Program of Education invites applications for two full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.

II. Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. or an equivalent doctoral degree from a domestic or international institution, with interdisciplinary research experience spanning education, brain and mind sciences, and learning technology. This position is open to all nationalities. Preference will be given to those with teaching experience who are able to conduct courses entirely in English.

III. Required Application Materials

Applicants shall submit the following application materials in electronic or hard-copy format:

1. A curriculum vitae, including the applicant’s ORCID information, Scopus h-index, and Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) for the past five years.
2. A photocopy of the doctoral degree certificate. Taiwanese citizens holding a doctoral degree from an overseas institution must have the degree authenticated by a Taiwanese embassy, representative office, or other authorized overseas mission.
3. Up to ten representative publications, with the full text of each publication attached.
4. A complete list of published works, including the representative publications listed above. Based on the most recent available information, the list must indicate:
   • The FWCI of each publication;
   • The database in which the journal is indexed, such as SSCI, SCIE, or TSSCI;
   • The journal’s academic category, such as “Education and Educational Research” in Clarivate’s Journal Citation Reports;
   • The journal’s ranking within the relevant academic category; and
   • Relevant Journal Impact Factor information.
5. A list of research projects in which the applicant has served as principal investigator or participant. The principal investigator of each project must be clearly identified.
   • For projects led by the applicant as principal investigator, please provide a summary of the project outcomes, limited to 1,000 Chinese characters or 500 English words, together with a list of major research outcomes.
   • For projects in which the applicant participated, please describe the applicant’s primary contributions to the project.
6. A list of national or international awards and honors received, with a brief description of each item, limited to 300 Chinese characters or 200 English words.
7. A list of courses previously taught at colleges or universities, or courses the applicant is qualified to teach, together with course descriptions, including course overviews, syllabi, and references.
8. Applicants who can teach education-related courses entirely in English should provide descriptions of the relevant courses, including course overviews, syllabi, and references.
9. One to three letters of recommendation.
10. Other supporting materials for review.

IV. Additional Information

1. Applicants who pass the initial review will be required to attend an in-person interview and deliver an academic presentation at the College of Education. All travel and related expenses shall be borne by the applicant.
2. Applicants who do not meet the eligibility requirements during the initial review will not be notified individually. Submitted application materials will not be returned.

V. Appointment Date and Rank

The earliest possible appointment date is February 1, 2027. The positions will be appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor or above.
